If I rember correct Brownie was suspended for a lot of games for this assault but I think it's worse to hear what the comments are " acting school" etc. etc.

And Sandstrom was the biggest pussy to ever play the game! Fuck all of you Rangers fans... We played the game the way it needed to be played back then... I couldn't be prouder of my Flyers for the way they played. Sandstrom needed to change his tampon, and Brown did it for him...

this is not a natural reaction. sandstrom wasn't a lamb, but this is way over the top. if everyone reacted like this, well, u get the point.

I would certainly not say that Brown's actions were a "natural reaction" to anything Sandstrom could have done nor would I defend it. It was over the top as you say even for Sandstrom. What I DO think is a "natural reaction" are Gene Hart & Bobby Taylor's reaction to it. Sandstrom was FAMOUS for embellishing, flopping and faking. This was 1987 so I am not sure what kind of immediate replays they had access to like they do today. They apologized for the comments the following game.
