I have IBS.
Day before my Colonoscopy.
Preparation - MoviPrep.
IT TASTES LIKE SEAWATER WITH A HINT OF BLEACH.

TIPS: eat very litte the day before the preparation, and just a slice of toast at 10am on the day of preparation.
Mix solution with dilute Orange juice.
Hold your nose.
When your bowel movements start coming out - green, tan, or clear (specks are alright) then you are clean.
Have vaseline at the ready.
Be prepared to be back on the toilet in the morning.
DONT GIVE UP and DONT rush it there is no hurry, take your time.
Get sedated for colonoscopy.

  • Can I just recommend to you all Slippery Elm tablets. I have been taking these for a couple of year and I have seen a massive massive improvement with my ibs. I literally barely suffer anymore, I have a flare up about once a month. you can get these tablets from Holland and Barretts, take 2 tablets 3 times a day with a meal - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. let me know how you all get on and good luck. I'm glad the video has helped you lot out :)

  • I had this same problem. I hated drinking that mixture too. The entire operation was painful. I was 18 when they did it. How old were you?

  • @felixduhcat89 I was 18 years old when I had to have this procedure. not the most pleasant of things mind!

  • @Rach3321 Have your IBS symptoms stopped? And when do they occur? I still have this problem with IBS.

  • @felixduhcat89 symptoms are very rare, I stick to the foods I know my stomach agrees with, I avoid eating late at night and sugary foods early morning. I avoid caffeine, pasta, green veg, meat (only because I'm vegetarian anyways). and I take slippery elm tablets with every meal. Symptoms only occur every now and again, like once a month, which is an improvement from every single day.

  • everything came back all clear, which was good AND bad, because i was kind of hoping they would find something that could have been sorted out! but no i just got told to get on with it, nothing they can do. really frustrating but i've just learnt to get on with it. i also take a herbal supplement called Slippery Elm, you can pick them up from Holland & Barretts. i highly recommend trying these. i've been taking them for about a half a year now and have greatly improved my condition.

  • I'm drinking this Moviprep swill right now. Seriously, this is fucking traumatic. I want someone to wipe my memory after I'm done.

  • You're a brave girl. I just went through the procedure today and it was not pleasant. Piece of advice though, put the mix in the fridge, it's easier to drink when it's cold. I had to drink 3 liters worth.

  • I also have IBS and my experience was not pleasant at all. I hated the mixture. But great video! I think that this could help anyone who may be about to have one. :D

  • Ugh. had to drink that stuff today. Got the first 1/2 liter down then threw up :/ Had to struggle to get the rest down. Ah well. Colonoscopy tomorrow... yayyyy...
