Interactive Video Environments at the WLPL

Video Creatures is an interactive video experience that uses computer vision and participant's body gestures to manipulate images and sounds.

The Interactive Video Environment responds to a user's experience in real time through the manipulation of sculptures. The environment itself provides a full-sensory artistic experience that includes interactive image sequences and sound manipulation.
For example, a person in one of these environments can generate a sound, and use a physical object to manipulate the tone of that sound. In the same way, physical objects can alter video data.

Come participate of this unique experience! All ages welcome.

Esteban García is a PhD student in the Computer Graphics program at Purdue University that bridges the gap between art and technology.
The sounds are created by artist Aaron Zernack.
