  • Says a lot about how good he was--at this point (his last NBA game) he was nearing 40 and could barely move, and he STILL made opposing players look stupid. My biggest regret is never having gone to see him play--and with him retired, I never will. A shame. He wasn't the greatest player ever, but he was definitely the most unique.

  • Sabonis > all other centers of his time.

    true story.

  • @MrTruSchool The Roy era? I don't think two seasons counts as an era, bub

  • @ry3304 Don't forget Pistol Pete Maravich...Penny and Webber? Seriously?

  • The guy was basically a fuckin 7-4 Larry Bird man.

There are only like maybe 3 guys in nba history who could make passes like that -

Bird Magic and Sabat. Maybe Chris Webber and Walton too. Possibly Nash, and Penny was pretty sick with it too lols, but that's like about it man.

    Oh and Cousy.

Honestly maybe only like 5 or so guys in history could do that in games.

He was THAT good, and honestly was WAYYYYY smarter than like 99.5% of the shitty NBA'ers even at that point...

  • @hophalf Not shaq, but Ewing, maybe Robinson, Malone and Mikan. Not quite up there with O'Neal, The Dream Shake and Russel/Wilt

  • @hophalf you joking right

  • Steve Nash is an awful defender (and obviously, Sabonis is a great passer)

  • @Jesusismothra cool story, bro. seriously

  • He never got the respect he deserved, especially playing with this group of idiots. Only if he played with the Clyde or Roy era...

  • I think Sabonis could probably come back RIGHT NOW and still would be a better passer than 90% of the centers in the game today.

  • He wasn't better than O'Neal/Robinson while he was in the NBA (with his knees gone) but he was smarter and DEFINATELY more entertaining. If he would have gone to NBA in his prime, for sure he woulda been one of the best to ever play there.

  • better than ewing and shaq

  • I got to see him in person one time, when Portland played Dallas in the same series but game 1. All I have to say is what a player. One of the best players to ever play. Had size, could shoot, reminds me of a Giant Pete Maravich, could just do about anything with the basketball.

  • Bonzi Wells JERSEYS ON EBAY.Check Bonzi Wells 20 Jerseys 17 Autographs and 369 cards bidding at 2.87 Its sweet got to have

  • european basketball legend. however, he went to nba when he was quite old. his prime was at Real Madrid (Spain)

  • i know. his dedication, effort and skill all make me watch in awe.

greatest center ever. or atleast the most inspiring

  • Not only was he the best passing big men ever, he was one of the best passers ever

  • lol awesome!

  • lol bill walton is loving it

  • omg, that pass was crazy! Sabonis the coolest playa ever!
