Investigators in the United Arab Emirates are searching for clues into what caused a Boeing 707 cargo plane to crash shortly after takeoff north of Dubai, killing all six crew onboard.

UAEs General Civil Aviation Authority is leading the investigation into Wednesdays accident.

It had no details about a possible cause Thursday.

A spokesman for the Sudanese Civil Aviation Authority More..says two investigators from the African nation are heading to the Emirates to take part in the probe.

Emirates officials say Sudan Airways flight 2241 from Sharjah to the Sudanese capital Khartoum went down at 3:31 p.m., two minutes after takeoff.

The plane was owned by another Sudanese company, Azza Transport.

  • @ebnsaeed I very much doubt that - he lost an engine and then likely failed to control the bank while experiencing asymmetrical thrust. The old engines don't generate much thrust and it would require a great expert at flying the 707 to handle a lost engine with a full load of cargo and fuel. But we all know how Islam, like Christian fundamentalism and Hasidism, teaches one to ignore reality and indulge in stupid projections of some messianic purpose onto everything from piloting to farting.

  • the Pilot(capt. Moh'd Ali) Had done the great job he changed the heading of the plane into desert area but the plane was heading towards public area.he lost his life but he saved many other lives..

May there souls Rest in Peace..

  • the plane just crashed near my home

  • @FlightSimTutorials 4 engined plane can not climb or maintain altitude if it had only one engine operating... Of course in this case only one engine failed, but some parts were falling from the plane so yeah I doubt that it was normal engine failure, maybe it made some damage to wing too and B707s engines of course do not generate so much thrust.

  • @antimatterXXXIII well said about such ppl .

  • @ebnsaeed he wasnt a hero or anything , stop adding things from ur own imaginations just coz hes a muslim "like you" .

old plane , engien failure , cargo .. not possible at this altitude specially while banking at that angle to do any controlabe action .

  • Plane crashes at 0:38

  • what a waste of a good plane

  • it was not in Dubai.... It is in Sharjah

  • I don't think this was the case.....An engine failure is hardly a reason to just ditch the plane into any open field. A plane can fly with only 1 engine operational. He could have made a safe landing. I doubt this was just a simple engine failure.

  • fuk u " arab attack" as if u r not a fukn terrorist. , Arabs are not and you dumb ppl , u dumb asses believe any conspiracy or any bullshit people say to you. think, be mature and dont act stupid infront of others. if u think u non arabs are perfect , u r negative 100% true cuz u r not perfect!!! n u r not smart, dumb ass

  • رحمة الله عليهم رحمه و اسعه

    حمودي الشفت

  • The veteran pilot, Mohammad Ali, is a true hero, once he sensed engine failure he selflessly steered the plane away from public roads.

    رحمهم الله جميعا
