Celebrating With Older Adults at the V.A. Hospital In Washington, DC

Everyone who participated had to be over the age of 60. I was invited by an awesome sister who is 86 years old who broadly steps into life each day as she celebrates being a cancer survivor of over 42 years. Some of the participants ranged in age from 60 to 90 plus. I was moved. I laughed, I celebrated, I danced, I cried, I rejoiced. Ms. Doris A.M. Thomas puts on her red dress and steps into action toward the end of this production.
