@FoShoYo008 No I stayed...I've never evacuated for a hurricane to hard to get back in after the storm.

DJ, How high would you say the winds were in your area when Katrina hit?

Well I live north of I-10 so they weren't as strong as on the immidiate coast..but judging by the tree damage and roof damage i would estimate 100+ mph gusts probably over 120 mph.
