I witnessed the crash. I was on Highway 401. My dad was driving cautiously because of the storm. I saw the plane coming down towards the runway. I lost sight of it when it touched down...then I saw black smoke. My dad didn't notice until I said something. He nearly caused a pile up on the 401 from braking abruptly. It was nuts! I had just turned 15. Wow...that was nearly 5 years ago now...I remember it clear as day...

I saw this about an hour after it had crashed. It was a really bad storm and they had over run the runway and had hit the fence. Terrifying sight to see the debris, the fire, the wings all destroyed... Terrible.

I was at the airport at that time when that happen and I got a good of it as well and I was like holy shit!!!! What just happen and my mom was crying when she saw the fire, we had to wait 4 hours just to get on the plane to toronto to Newfoundland. Sad day that was, but no one was kill!!!

I lived not far from this..the only thing worse then the crash with the assholes stopping on a highway 401 to take pictures even a few dicks took some of the paassagers to the long way around to the airport 1 guy gets hit my a car trying to cross 6 lines of traffic with a camara in his hand ..morons

I remember this day, my uncle arrived from pakistan on this day and said he heard a huge bang, and later we found out this is what happened.

the thing that went wrong was that it was an airbus... next time buy and use a Boeing trust me it wont happen again.
