Great video!! :)
Now you Need to make a video about how to control the fan speeds.

Cool video. I would like to know if you could do a review of the g71gx, it would be much appreciated. Thanks make more videos!!!

@destroyer863 Nvidia offers another tool that can can the cpu as well. I think it's called Nvidia System tools I think. You can set profiles to boot at your desired overclock rate. However I wouldn't recommend overclocking the cpu, since they run crazy hot anyway. Download intelburntest and try to pass the test on stock speeds. Run it 5 times at normal stress 32 threads max. 5 runs will last a couple minutes and it'll test it to the max to see if it's stable at it's stock clock.

I would also recommend using MSI Afterburner. You will have to crack the app to work on none MSI gpu's but it works fine on all brand of gpu. If you need help getting it to work I can provide links or email you the info. MSI Afterburner is very persistent in making sure you maintain a 1:1 Core:Shader Domain ratio for maximum gpu performance with minimal heat and maximum stability. It's like overclocking a cpu, You always want to maintain linearity between the cpu and ram.

Increasing the memory should not reduce stability either. Increasing by 50Mhz will help running at high resolution and higher resolution textures since memory controls how fast the gpu render's textures of resolutions. The core and shader domain control pixel shaders and polygon calculations. Therefore pulling a 1:1 by reducing the shader domain to match the core clock you will be killing it at 600Mhz and 1200Mhz.You might even be able to pull off 625Mhz core clock and a 1250Mhz shader domain

Try and keep a ratio on your gpu for best performance. What I mean by that is keeping a 1:1 ratio wih the core and shader clock. That way you run more reliably and perform with more throughput to. So it's 550mhz core, and what 1375Mhz on the shader. Be sure to download GPU-Z to see the difference on output changes. I would set the core clock to 600Mhz and Shader to 1200Mhz. That will give you better performance than 550 core and 1400mhz shader. Nvidia gpu's prefer linearity.

hey im highly considering this model of laptop! currently im rocking a now old school hp dv9000. running vista. graphics card GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M, processor AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60 (2002 MHz). 4GB MY LAPTOP IS DEPRESSING! cuz i NEEED some games which i cannot play. i got cod4 working on low settings. but i can only play games on high performance and only like an hr and the laptop get super hot :( and your model is quite affordable :) and my model is 2008 so.........

Unfortunately that's not the problem. It is plugged in and it still will not allow me to overclock.
So I fresh installed windows 7 and I am having some issues. I cant control the blinking lights on the side of the computer. But worst of all I cant get the back lit keyboard to work. Ive tried running my drivers from my disc and the asus website but there have been some issues.
Any help would be appreciated.

@Jensenism 1) download driver sweeper from guru 3d. 2) uninstall all ASUS drivers. 3) get into safe mode on your computer. 4) click the driver sweeper.exe. 5) check all ASUS driver. 6) reinstall all the driver from the ASUS site.
Try all of this and tell me your results.

@KingOfSand100
I actually tried running the CD in compatibility mode and it worked pretty ok. I got all my apps to run like normal. Still no back lit keyboard though :/.

@Jensenism yea idk what the issue with that is. i had the older g71 so mine didnt have a back lit keyboard. you might want to try and contact ASUS.
