How much did Buck Weaver sue Charles Comiskey(The Old Tightwad) for being permanently banned from Baseball? Everyone knows that Buck Weaver had NO PART of the Black Sox Scandal, yet he suffered along with the other six.
@hulkyone Yeah, the same way Pete Rose was forced to sign an agreement(Under duress) that he would ONLY be exiled from Baseball in 1989 by Bart Giamatti, but he was allowed Reinstatement. But why is Pete Rose STILL banned from Baseball over 20 years later? Because of 2 Dicks(Fay Vincent and Bud Selig) who won't move their Punk Asses one inch to get Pete Rose's reinstatement moving.
Comiskey should've been questioned after the trial for the unethical things the team's attorney Alfred Austrian did. Jackson and Weaver deserve to taken off the banned list. It was proven that Weaver didn't take part in the fix, though he was banned for allegedly knowing about the fix and not telling anybody else about it, and Jackson's stats were too good to suggest he threw any games. Weaver eventually found a lawyer who guaranteed him he would be reinstated, but his paperwork disappeared
If I could, I'd make a remake showing a different and very reasonable side of the story titled Six Men Out, Two Men In. Weaver and Jackson were quite innocent. Jackson was also barely even literate and he signed a confession waiver that was presented to him by the team's own attorney. There is good reason to believe Charles Cominsky- a known underpaying cheapskate- himself wanted Jackson banned from baseball. Banned, Joe was unable to play for another team or ask for a raise in his salary.
