@Poet2916 no it's the african language you're hearing is zulu.

The opening is so EPIC in this version...they used the African language still right? I'm never sure, is it Swahili?

@heathersvancara Take American English vs. British English, for example. They're the same words, but used differently. When Brits say "Torch," they mean, "Flashlight," to Americans. We Americans say, "Cookie," they say, "Biscuts." Different accents, different meanings, different surroundings; saying they're the same could actually be offensive.
So yeah, I suppose Canadian French and France's French are much different, though I wouldn't be able to have a say, since I don't speak French. :3

I think that this is the best version of 'The Circle of Life'- and all of its variations- that exists. The Canadian one has a build to it that neither the version from France nor the American one has, and is about a full minute longer than either of those. Thus, I find it to be much more moving, too. Thank you so much for posting this.

@heathersvancara Yes, extremely different. That's why the French are offended by Canadian versions of anything. The basics are the same, but everything else is like "in left field."

c'est la version de la comédie musicale, la version canadienne est identique à la version française

@ladyxogagaa Are Canadian-French and French-French (lolll) different?

Thanks for posting this! It's great to get to hear the Circle of Life from the French version of the musical. Interesting that they did a brand new translation. The German version, on the other hand, uses the same lyrics as in the movie. Guess it all depends on the preferences of producers in the respective countries as to whether to do a brand new translation or not.
