@NewYorkCityZoo its usually 2 separate parties for men and women .. then the groom goes out of the male's party and comes in the womens party to see his bride .. and before he comes in the women who cover, cover and all the women stop dancing and sit down :0
(been to a kuwaiti wedding.. this one is saudi arabian im not sure if its the same..but im sure its similar)

@alwil454 I'm not 100% sure but is worn for prestige or for special occasions .. yeah the man is probably the groom.. but also in a wedding the father of the groom might wear one too :]

What is the significance of the man in the black robe? I noticed also on the side there is a gentleman all in black off to the left at 3:07. Would that gentleman be the groom?

This is called the DIHHEH it is done by northern arabian tribes especially anizah. It is purely cultural, not religious. It used to be done to get hype before wars back in the days of spears and swords. Now it is primarily practiced at weddings of the anizah tribe and other northern arabian tribes in saudi arabia, kuwait, iraq, and jordan.
