Gran Turismo 4: Endurance Events / Laguna Seca 200 (Laps 86-90)

Here's a 200 point test run at one of my favorite tracks. The Series 1 is an awesome ride, and is especially great with tire wear. I finally reel in the Ford GT to put it a lap down, and probably should've done so sooner, having looped it a couple of times early...
This was vs Lineup #1 (NTSC/USA), and this race can be won somewhat easily with very little modification.

@pr3typ0ny I treat this game like a game. If this was real, the police would've arrested me for Grand Theft of the Shelby and Tresspassing at Mazda Raceway.

I certainly don't drive that hard all the time, even in the game. This was a test run (the real run's report can be found at my website), and a successful one for 200 A-spec points. I will worry about the way I treat my tires and clutch when I finish connecting my DualShock2 to my Civic.

That Shelby looks so weak to beat Ford GT... did you reduced weight, didn't you? Could I win this endurance with a 4WD japanese car, like Subaru Impreza 22-B '98?

If you can run laps in the 1'26 to 1'30 range, pitting every 11 laps, then it's possible. The best answer is to try it and find out yerself! :)

If you're just going for the win, then I'd say you can definitely win it with the 22B. If you're also going for points, then it would require a lot of test runs to find out.  GL!

The Shelby Series One was purchased at the USA/Shelby/New Car lot (the Shelby icon is a blue S).

The speedometer displays in MPH.

it woud be awesome if they had co op racing in the actually game where u can race your buddies in actually races in the campign for team championships

@ComplexString i complete agree with you and was not tryingto sound like a jerk, yes its a game, and when i play enduros my goal is to goal is to go as long as possible with no pits while still posting consistant times, which i believe is the great fun of these races,

I love seeing time fly while a specing the long races, the i walk out into the day light and fresh air and imagine what it would be like to do this for real
