arron still holds the records for rbis though, something bonds didnt come close to

I think Ted Williams was the best hitter w/ Mays a close 2nd. Aaron is the best slugger of all time though. I don't put Bonds or Big Mac in that conversation.

The problem with Barry Bonds was that he never understood the importance of having the media on his side. While most players try to cultivate a good relationship with the media, and fans, Barry Bonds didn't seem to care about that. Barry usually refused to give the local media interveiws, and rarely signed autographs for his fans. In San Francisco he got the reputation for being an asshole, and it stuck. If a nice guy screws up, people will usually try forgive him. Barry wasn't a nice guy.

Yeah, I have to agree he's definitely not the best hitter ever. I'd put him behind Ted Williams for sure. Then guys like Joe DiMaggio, Ty Cobb, Rogers Hornsby, Babe Ruth, Tony Gwynn and Pete Rose are definitely up for debate for playing in different eras.

barry bonds on steroids 750-800 for career
if hank did steroids(he didn't) it would've been like 1150 HR's
hank was the greatest hitter(fuck pete rose) ever

If anyone ever has a doubt that Hank Aaron is he greatest baseball player of all time read his book. Read the suffer that he and his team mates delt with. Although, he may have been surpassed in homeruns, enhanced or not, he stills hold the record for RBI's. We could all be so fortunate to have a work ethic and passion. A true gentleman and ballplayer.
