@JasTheMusicman Cool, thanks!

@JasTheMusicman No, still haven't figured that out. Thanks!

The only thing I can not figure out how to get sliders and knobs to slide or turn instead of going all the way up or all the way down, once when the midi is triggered. Great Video.

@PianoKid4444 Sorry for the delay, did you get this fixed? If not, let me know and I'll help you out :)

@PianoKid4444 Ok, so what's happening here is that the CC is only sending out two values 0 and 127 which is why it's going to only either the top or bottom.
Let me know what MIDI controller you are using...but the bottom line here is the MIDI controller must be capable of sending multiple CC messages incrementing the values from 0-127. An example would be a MIDI expression pedal or a slider on a keyboard controller, that kind of thing.

A video on that subject would be a great help, you rock! One thing I have found is that I can record controller messages into logic from my controller, then switch the midi output to the IAC bus to control Mainstage! I think running multiple programs may call for a ram upgrade from 2 to 3 gigs, my Macbook Pro tops out at 3 :-(.

No problem!
That's a cool way of doing it with your controller :)
Hey, why does your Macbook Pro top out at 3GB and not 4...don't you have 2 memory slots in there? You might have to toss a 1 away to get a 2 in but it's probably worth it.

This has been great Jas, an answer to my vision for my setup. What I need to know is how to create those messages in Logic. I have not figured out how to generate CC messages to get Playback started, also turning on and off effects. And learning how to generate all the messages in this video would be a real help. Thanks! (I have managed to create PC messages that work, it's a start)

Thanks purplerock!
Good question, I'll do up a short video to show you how but basically you can use the pencil tool in logic to create a MIDI event at the point you want then go into the Event Window and edit/change/add there. Or just use the Event Window only.
