@myponiesrule123 2 years? You'd be lucky. After 2 years you'd be just out of your probation, you can then apply to transfer to other units. But because you'd be tasked on public order events you'd have to show a history policing such events as well as being competent far beyond probation. Realistically you wouldn't be able to join mounted for 5 years. I wouldn't recommend policing as a career just to join mounted branch.

Wow :O

it's amazing how much the horses trust the ridders to do whats best for them to push them on and also they trust them while they are jumping in betweeen fire!
-
AMAZING!!!
-
it seems like there would have been some nasty injuries and mishaps in the training of this!
-
I saw this last year, it's amazing when that horse jumps through the paper!!! and its the only one that will do that on the whole ride!!

WOW! Now THATS a drill team!
OMG! Even though that looked cool, what if one tripped or ducked out?¿?

Actually that did happen - one of the riders caught his foot on the side of the jump and brought the whole thing down as they went through. They were both completely unharmed though.
It's unlikely one of these would refuse or run out, they're superbly trained police horses and are used to much scarier things than this!
