Ben Ramsey Speaks Out on Dragonball Evolution

A year after DBE, I was able to get in contact with the screenwriter for the film just to get some insight over what went wrong with the live action adaptation. He didn't say anything out of the ordinary,he only pointed a few things out from his POV of the script development and how the original draft was going to be like. Still, it's worth listening to this.

Would his draft happen to be the leaked script the hit the internet like months before the movie was released? I still have it myself.

Sometimes the development process in Hollywood can be like a group of vegetarians planning a steak house. Their decisions aren't based on their love of a juicy steak but on speculation of what a steak lover might like. The end result is another bland steak that taste just like the one you had at the Sizzler. Or some disgusting thing that was cooked up by someone trying to make it taste like a vegetable. I like to use food analogies because movies, are in essence, food for thought.

Ugh i hate when studio's meddle, buts its good to know Ben acknowledges this an apologized on behalf of the studio for their huge mistake. I really wish I could see Ben's script. :( oh and fuck james wong xD

Thanks for the video. I did find DBE awfully short on story and logic when I first saw it. I suspected the movie was originally longer and made more sense.

Now I know what the problem was. Script rewrites!
