Gullfoss is a waterfall located approximately 75 miles northeast of Reykjavik, the capitol of Iceland. The Hvítá river flows down a three-step "staircase" through a canyon. Then, the water flows into a crevice that is 105 feet deep.
I filmed this segment in the middle of January 2011 while on the well-known Golden Circle tour that is popular with visitors.
