Thank you HollowBastion. Wait, Moonstone is an equip? I heard a few days ago that the Moonstone prevented the move from turning chars into allies and thought it was always in effect on everyone.
I guess it would be better to try to keep characters from dying all together, like usual :P

Animate Dead? There are a few ways. You can equip one character with the Moonstone and leave them dead, so Saruin will waste turns casting Animate Dead on them.
Revive is a spell that works wonders in this case, but you'll probably have to recast when he does kill your characters.

iirc, Romancing Saga is the one where the final bos Saruin? has a move that revives our dead party members so that they attack you, it might be R Saga 2 or 3 but I think it's 1.
