@kozmon0t the long runway was to make the Russians think damn, they must have a plane that goes mach 10 and has to land at 400 knots.

They designed a few real planes there to keep up the appearance, but nothing all that vitally secret, especially in the age of satellites.

Those "workers" they pick up in the bus are just actors, to make it look like someone works there besides guards.

I have figured out Area 51, and it only took me 5 minutes!

What if one day they said, the Russians are gonna be spying on us, we need a decoy to confuse them... I know, let's go build an airbase over there, seal off the area and deny it exists, then everyone will waste all their time trying to figure out what it is.

It's a fake airbase, there's either nothing there or something more important than an airbase. Why would they be so secret about aircraft, and not more vital things like missile and space facilities? They don't deny those sites exist.

Come on people. Do you think the government is stupid enough to still keep alien stuff in area 51? All the press and media on it the last 4 decades. They have taken the alien stuff somewhere remote and area 51 is just a diversion now.
