@davidjsouth That wasn't even a match. The Revs, due to the fact that their OWNER only cares about his other team, had absolutely no one on the field that would have even made the reserve team for Benfica.
That in itself is wrong. And it was a disservice to Football in every way shape or form. That game set us back in New England..way back!

Benfica played without many of the usual first team players ( Luisão, Ramires, Quim, Maxi Pereira, Fábio Coentrão, Di Maria, Cardozo, Aimar, Javi Garcia, David Luiz). I would expect a more balanced game. Nevertheless, i think its good for msl teams to play stronger teams, teams that play at a higher level, like davidjsouth said, if you want to play big, play with the big boys!

@DsmB2007 Of the main Benfica 11, was only one player on the starting 11 yesterday: Saviola.
David Luiz and Javi Garcia on the bench, only played a few minutes on the 2nd half.
Quim and Aimar stayed in Lisbon.
Maxi Pereira, Luisão, Fabio Coentrão, Ramires, Di Maria and Cardozo are with their national teams for the world cup.
Some other important players, like Carlos Martins, didn't go.
We had to play with some juniours.
Just imagine how whould it be with all the players available..

This game should never have been scheduled...With all the injuries and lack of personnel capable of competing with a foreign Champion.
A huge disservice to the sport and to the team. This was very unfair to all fans who dedicate time, spirit and money to support the team!!
