Saturday the last of February Oh Nine was well spent in a church, dancing to bands and callers from St. Louis and Memphis and between. The band "Chicory" set a wild pace for 3 hours, then a potluck gorge, and then dancing the evening to the "Old Cornlickers". Calling was by volunteers.
It was Christened the Chance Dance because of the iffy weather of the season. We missed nasty snowfall by dozens of miles. Close.
This video was cobbled together from clips and snapshots taken with my shirt-pocket Canon DS1100IS and the help of a rickety tripod. I composed the layers using Serif Software's MoviePlus X3
great special effects

FYI - the singer/guitar player at the end is Christian Sanfield from the Potlikker String Band in Memphis, TN. He sat in with the Old Cornlickers on a few tunes & danced the night away!
