Loved this movie as a kid. I always wished I could have seen the original Broadway stage show. They say that was the ultimate version of THE WIZ . But I am grateful I saw the revival with the original Dorothy (Stephanie Mills).

I would also like the remake movie to have some kind of dedication to all the great stars that had a part in the original film (castwise), but are no longer living with us, and to the survivors as well Lena Horne and Diana Ross.

Wouldn't it be great for a remake to happen starring Be'once(Dorthy) User (Scarecrow), Denzel (the tinman) David Mann from Meet the Browns (Lion) Steve Harvey (The Wiz) Jill Scott (Wicked witch) and Fantasia (Glenda the good witch.

I love you idea about a new remake of this film. It is definitely time for it. I put together a litte dream casting for the movie as well. Tell me what you think.
