Pauline Campbell RIP 1947-2008

Literally, every day, the police are getting away with murder. These are just some of the stories of those who have lost their loved ones at the hands of the police and other unaccountable tools of the state.

On the last saturday of october, every year for the last nine years, there has been a gathering in London of the friends and family of those who have been killed while in the custody of the state and it's employees....

This video follows the slow silent procession from Trafalgar Square down Whitehall. At Downing Street the procession became a noisy demo and a list of around 1,200 people killed while in custody in the UK was handed in to number 10. While flowers were laid outside Downing Street, people told their own personal stories of the loss of their loved ones at the hands of the authorities. The police kept a low profile throughout the demonstration which ended up at Parliament Square where the placards containing the names of about 150 of those killed were placed facing parliament.

paul020968 depends on what you mean by no reason. I saw a traing vidoe where 2 officers sat on a man for what they claimed was 5 minutes in a routine arrest becasue they said he was struggeling. The man suffocated under the weight. He was literaly fighting for his life. Of course part of the recording was lost.... This was in CA over 10 years ago.

death by the government is bullshit...people can die from brutal beatings from each other and cops are part of it....all those officers that are paid to kill by the government are just as good as hitmen hired by the mafia...just that government think they are right in everyway, but just making money off people and killin us....

fairplay, its not right there are these deaths in police custody with no accountablity, there is simalar case's in ireland, one been the killing of terence wheelock and the subsequent cover up.
