In the Koran, Jesus ascends to heaven, as they Crucify someone else made to appear as the Christ. They attempted to Crucify him.

That holds for many Christian sects, as addressed by the Church in Antioch.

There's also an apocryphal Revelation (1st century) called "The Apocalypse of Peter" That talks about Jesus watching a "son of the glory of the Romans" being crucified instead of him. He then tells Peter that they can not harm him, and ascends into heaven.

weather or not jesus died for our sins he did die on the cross, Romans like nailing people to the cross, jesus was no exception unlike the koran which is wrong because they belive that jesus didn't die but dont give an explanation to why he stopped teaching or what happend to him.
