THE FENWICKS live in concert on their 2007 Human Rights Foundation "Fenwicks for Freedom" Tour. The Fenwicks' cover version of The Special AKA's 1984 ska classic "Free Nelson Mandela" (with the lyrics newly re-modified and updated for 2007)- now directed at Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez. Shot at the Knitting Factory NYC and at Fuel in Jacksonville Florida. Enjoy it here, and only here!

  • lol WTF, THOR WAS RAPED FOR CHAVEZ?????? LOL

  • I`m from venezuela, & I want to say u that the poor in this country isn`t the the president and the goberment, those are we, who want a free country with security, light, water, security, turism and production, that we sure could found if we would have a good president who don`t violate so many lays and abuse of the power. I wish that when the people hear venezuela, don`t think in a poor latin amercan`s country or in Chavez, who isn`t worthly of represent as he does this country.

  • OMG! i'm from venezuela & i cannot believe the comments that u make i was born here, i live here, & im living hugo chavez dictadorship, recently i spended 3 days without electricity & constants water cuts!! this is cuz he gives away the investments money to have aliances with other countries.. all the media has been taken by the goberment

  • Very well said. I wouldn't personally pay any attention to someone who can actually describe Hugo Chavez as a dictator while keeping a straight face.

Whatever drug fuelled fantasy world the Fenwicks live in it's far removed from reality.

  • The likes of you weren't too worried about democracy when you no doubt cheered the short lived overthrowing of this democratically elected leader by a cult of far-right thugs back in 2002. Shamefully supported by the US Government (who have a track record on that sort of thing.)

Thankfully these murderous parasites were defeated shortly afterwards and the ordinary people of Venezuela restored democracy.

  • "he allows those who oppose him to dominate the media"???

    That´s so thoughtful of him.

"where he is not on the winning side in a referendum, election, he accepts the result and moves on"???

Yeah, he moves on to replace the elected candidate that does not belong to his line of thinking with a "higher" authority designated directly by him in a "created-out-of-nowhere" position in the government.

  • You are right, the fact that he quotes Ayn Rand does say alot. And the fact that you hold that in distain says alot about you. I wonder what happens to your broken world view when there are no more rich people to pay for the rest of the world. Why bother working when I know some rich sucker is going to have to pay for my healthcare anyway? Gee, I wish I could live in your reality. Sounds.....poor.

  • Dude, just because you say it doesn't make it true. You're answer to "....that standard Chavez fits the bill of Thug Extraordinaire." is "No he doesn't"? Really? Good job dude.

In what communist world view do you find property rights "dodgy"? The very fact that you don't acknowlege property ownership means any discussion with you is impossible. The foreign businessman who can afford to buy (and own) property has more right to it than the Venezuelan people IF they cannot not afford it.

  • That you make a quote from Ayn rand says a lot.

Presumably you support the opposition in Venzuela? Would you not consider their coup of 2002 Coercion and interference?: Or do you forget about your love of freedom of the press (it is well known that the coup leaders shut down all State Media and doctored footage to make it look like they were being shot at when they really did the shooting) and democracy when it is the right wing endangering these principles.

  • Thank you for the clarification Doniedaff! You and I clearly have radically different understandings of what constitutes a "Right" (and probably even what constitutes liberty and freedom). Suffice it to say, my only concern is the individual's right to his life, liberty, and property. To quote Ayn Rand:

"The concept of a right pertains only to action—specifically, to freedom of action. It means freedom from physical compulsion, coercion or interference by other men".
