Then there was Reagan's amnesty of illegals. They feel they are doing our dirty work we won't do. You can blame the rise in illegals on conservatives hypocrites. Reagan's actual amnesty & GWB's proposed amnesty were just ways to buy the latino vote. Then there was the benefit of cheap slave labor for the agricultural industry. Which used to get billions in "farm subsidies" (errr, welfare).
