Jessie Jackson, Jr. Tries to Help 99ers Unemployed and get's little help from them

Representative Jessie Jackson, Jr. may not be able to give the 99ers jobs, but he's offering something that no one else on Capitol Hill has seen fit to give the long-term unemployed: a voice. If enough resumes stack up, perhaps — just maybe — we can get some serious consideration of 99ers needs (and the Tier 5 unemployment extension) on the table.

@jshowa2 - I personally know people with MBA's and others with masters that are having hard times getting jobs. now we all hear the story of the lazy ones who don't want to work but I think its less then 1%. of the 23 million unemployed. People are doing everything u mention applying for job and going to school borrowing money from the Gov they can never pay back. some people have taken initiative to fight back and protest the gov for helping the rich and letting the others fail

Jesse Jackson Jr. What you fail to realize is that the constitution is a document which ensures negative rights. The rights that FDR wished to add into the constitution are positive rights, which is against the spirit and founding of this nation.

Speaking of founding - lets talk about the fact that the constitution is meant to enumerate only inalienable and NATURAL rights - Not those forged by the pen of a politician!

I sent mine in, but I agree. Many, many 99ers don't have access to all of the information out there anymore. We need Mr. Jackson's efforts to be broadcast main stream to get out there.

I did get mine in yesterday, but there wasn't a way to know about sending my resume. I ran across it by chance. I'm sure that a lot of 99ers don't even have a computer to be informed because they had to pawn them if they had one. Of course the local and cable media couldn't inform everyone about 99ers needing to send in their resume. Why don't media broadcasters use their freedom of the press aminment properly. This was a time to use it.

kids don't want to hear it. Adults don't want to hear it. I can't talk to anyone about this shit in the real world or they just tune me out. My only outlet is youtube to a few hundred viewers. Basically no one wants to hear this shit.

Why, I dunno. Maybe the truth hurts.
