"Always" (Original) - Matthew Jordan

This is one of my very favorite originals, and it'll be on my soon-to-be-released EP (in a fully produced version... this one's "unplugged").

The Alley is an underground rehearsal space in LA that's been home to thousands of world-famous musicians over its forty-year history. The walls are covered with the names and artwork of those who've played in the room, the vibe is remarkable and they have a beautiful baby grand piano... so I decided to film my new video there.

I want to thank the incredible Eliza James for coming by and playing violin. She did a great job. Additional violins were played by Stephan Hovsepian. I played all the other instruments: piano, bass, cajón and sang all the vocals. The lyrics are below. Hope you like it!

@SecretMessagClothing Thanks so much for the support! As far as Gospel songs... I sometimes cover a Carole King song called "Way Over Yonder" which is pretty gospel-influenced. If you search YouTube there are some live performance videos of that one floating around :)

Also, I covered "Silent Night" and "O Come All Ye Faithful" in a mash-up last year... you might like that one!

Wow I think this is one of your best songs Mathew my bro! This is a serious great ballad the way you sing & play it & the style of the song with the well thought out great lyrics reminds me very much of Billy Joel's style. the strong tune also. :) I see you playing bass this time how cool and piano guitar percussion you do it all and so mganificently too. You make it look effortless but it takes tremendous work & talents to do what you do my buddy. I loved it great violin by Eliza also. :)))
