  • He was retired here. His widow still (at least until recently) was/is a volunteer at Martin Memorial Hospital here in Stuart. One of the waiting rooms has an exhibit of some of his memorabilia

  • That is very interesting. You can learn some fascinating things here on YouTube through comments such as yours.

  • Thanks for the lyric. That's what it sounded like to me but I've never thought it made much sense. Now I get it. Thanks again from Buill in Stuart, Florida where Vaughn is fondly remembered.

  • You're welcome, and I'm glad to hear he is fondly remembered there.

  • Great song. Thanks. Tell me, what's the missing lyric in the line, "I know that someday you'll want me to want you you when I am ----- for somebody new ... "

What's the word between "am" and "for"?

    thanks for your help.

  • I drive past Stuart, Florida, on the turnpike twice per week on business. Every time I do, I think of Vaughn Monroe's great song "Racing With The Moon." Sometimes, I even sing it!

Unequalled voice... what a talent he was.
