Lyrics: Lord of the Storm guide me safe through the squalls.
Lord of my life, of whatever befalls.
Lord of the day and Lord of the night.
When darkness falls, Oh Lord, hold me tight.
When darkness falls, Oh Lord, hold me tight.

Though clouds should hide Your face from my sight,
Lord, bring me home to Your glorious light.
Never will Your presence depart.
I can't see Your face, but I know Your heart.
I can't see Your face, but I know Your heart.

Who in heav'n have I but You?
And on earth, none could be so true.
When I awake with You I will be
So to live for eternity.
So to live for eternity.

  • Thanks so much, Juliahymnlover. Yes, I wrote this song. I'm glad you think it sounds authentically Celtic. Even though I'm only 1/4 Scottish in heritage, it must be that 1/4 that writes my songs for me. (I've always loved Celtic music.) Your music is spectacular, by the way. Lovely voice and harp playing and song choice.

  • Glad to see you're still working your music magic. :)

  • @vancecook7 Thanks for the encouragement. Actually, I haven't written any new songs in awhile. I'm just putting new video or images to a few of them.

  • @cslcojoco I like the new video.

This is one of my favorite songs of yours.

  • @vancecook7 Thanks. It's one of my favourites of the ones I've written, too. Probably because it means a lot to me. It grew out of a personal "storm" that God brought me through. Then He turned around to do something awesome through that storm. I wrote this while the storm was still raging, though, so it means a lot to remember what that felt like at the time and then to remember what He did through it.
