Finally, after a long time and many program crashes, I'm done. :) I know there are some issues here and there (lipsynch! ;_;), but it was my very first attempt at some serious video editing - I practically had to learn everything from the ground up. Still, the video turned out better than I expected.

I think the idea behind my video is pretty clear - the age-old question "Fish or h?" and the differences between the fans of the two. Hopefully, with a chance for a mutual understanding.

Enjoy!

  • well, from what I gather...the inspiration for this video was the communication barrier Fish and the band had back in 1988...when Fish went solo? Am I right? Listen to "Tux On"...to me this is a good indicator of how fish felt at that period in his life. Thank God Marillion never became U2!

  • Close. I was thinking more of the never-ending fan dispute about which singer was better etc. But your interpretation works too. :)

  • The seasons end album is very good. But after that I just can not sink my teeth in to their music.

  • then I misunderstood the video. sorry. good idea indeed.

  • Marillion are way too classy to become a shitty 'U2'. I've been a fan since '83 when Fugazi was a masterpiece. Fish is a legend as is Steve Hogarth. The most moving music ever composed.

  • I never cared about either Fish(whoever he is) or Marillion, nevertheless this is still quite pleasant.

  • Fish and Marillion are two different entities. Poles apart on their musical direction. The same can be said for Genesis...when Peter Gabriel fronted the band in the late 60's to mid '70's.

  • I'm glad you like it after all. :)

  • I was thinking more of reconciliation, but it's close enough. :)

  • conciliation?

  • Just watch 3:04 - 3:11 again.
