THE ANNUAL CAMP IN EAST TROY TEACHES CAMPERS COPING SKILLS, LIFE LESSONS AND GIVES THEM A BOOST IN SELF ESTEEM.
BUT THIS CAMP IS ABOUT LIFE BEYOND THE BURNS.
IT GIVES THE 70 CAMPERS THE FREEDOM TO JUST BE A KID.
IT'S A VOLUNTEER EFFORT FROM LOCAL FIREFIGHTERS TO NURSES AND DOCTORS.
AND 95 PERCENT OF THE COUNSELORS ARE BURN SURVIVORS - LIKE BRANDON BERGNER FROM DE PERE.
