  • nice, i have a 4ft x 2 x 2, how come it is a bare bottom? It would look so much better planted with driftwood, and the discus would enjoy it too.

  • @jasonfish07 What planet do you live on YOU NEED A **HEATER** TO KEEP DISCUS room temperature is not high enough & don't get me started on feeding once a month OMG !!!!!!.

  • @REDBU11RACER LMAO I was taking the piss,, read the vid posters comment that was voted off,

  • @jasonfish07 What planet do you live on YOU NEED A **HEATER** TO KEEP DISCUS room temperature is not high enough.

  • Dear friends, please do not give your discus heater this will cook them, Instead dear friends put in cold water for happy health. Food for discus only 1 a month and take out water....for happy health.

  • @Ingiequeen i think you mistook my comment, it was directed at the owner of the video. he says u do not need a heater hence my comment.

  • @aanyah80

This was a long time ago :p

yes, I realise breeding tanks with young fry are better off bare bottom for cleanliness issues etc. but still maybe some floating plants/java moss would look nice :)

No need to say I don't know anything :/ That was kind of rude.

  • @Ingiequeen obviously u dont know anything about keeping discus, although the owner of the above seems to have no clue about the heating requirements. when keeping young discus, barbottom tanks are the best as they need frequent water change and bare bottom helps remove the debris easily.

  • Also, they need VERY SOFT water. Bogwood and live plants assist with this by helping bring down the Ph, which is another reason they are necessary in a discus tank, aside from providing cover and hiding places.

  • Discus should be kept at about 82-84 degrees F, and should be kept in a heavily planted tank so that they have places to take cover and not be stressed by each other, by other fast moving fish in the tank, or by activity near the tank. This looks like a short term sales tank at a store that doesn't plan on having them for long.

  • @sloppi1234 It could be, here in malta i keep my angels without heater, The tank temp is never under 28oC
