Hello. The cellist here. It was out of tune more than I thought (some places dreadfully so). We are performing this piece again tonight and I thought I would come look this up. I'm hoping that 4 years will help me play with a bit better intonation. Hopefully Justin will get a recording of tonights performance and put it up as well.

Very nice, i like it alot! sounds a bit "neo-classical" ? altough the term is rather fuzzy..
But i it sounds like it's in between classical tonal music and atonal music.. And that is exactly what i like! Composers such as, Shostakovich, honegger, schnittke, busoni maybe :)

Yea I didn't mean it ruined the whole performance, but it just happened to catch my attention. Good work on the composing and the performance was good too!

what is this piece called exactly? and who composed it? is it still under copyright? i saw the copyright 2006 Justin Parker, but i don't know if its for this piece or the video... cuz i'm looking for good string trio (violin, viola, cello) music if you have any suggestions

Yes, she gave a few cues. Unfortunately, there wasn't much time for this group to rehearse, so there are quite a few times where they weren't playing together. She probably felt compelled to try to get everyone playing together again.

No, I'm the composer of the piece. The performers had very little time to practice this; the performance took place during finals week as I recall, and I didn't finish the piece until about a week past the deadline. As far as the cello being out of tune, I suppose it just happens sometimes. I think they did a good job under the circumstances.
