Trafalgar 200:Parce mihi domine Christobal de Morales1500-53

I took these pictures over a three day period during the Bi-Centenary celebrations of the battle of Trafalgar.
The ships are gathered in the Solent with Portsmouth, and its Spinaker tower, in the background.
They were taken with a 400mm hand held lens from a distance of over a mile away.They have been sitting in a draw ever since so I thought I would put them up on YouTube.

The Officium by Jan Garbarek & The Hilliard Ensemble, is such a great and powerful work, the sax is amazing in there. I'm enchainted with it. It's totally beautiful.

A huge thanks for posting this, I was fortunate to have listened to this approx 10 years ago. I was so taken back by the cd I went out and bought it, unfortunately lent it to some one & never had it returned. Have been stumped for years trying to remember what & who, even posted a message on the classical forum asking for help but now I have come across your poting I now the title & artist & ordered it yesterday.

Battleships. The had a powerful wepon.

but their range was shit.

They now use Destroyers.

Battleships, are said to have a range of 20 miles..

While the new destroyer they made sometime in the late 1990's has a range effective up to 200 I hear.

Good thing Cuba didn't get ahold of that shit back in 1963.

While a beautiful recording...the english text translation puts it in context. Usually performed during the Anglican or Catholic Good Friday Mass...
