I suppose because it is the ultimate sleeper. Who would guess a wagon can do 0-60 in 5 seconds? Also, because I can get the kids and all their gear to soccer faster than any mom out there.

Not really, one of those weighs about 3150lbs which a modern mazda 3 weighs about 3100-3200 lbs. By todays standards they are actually light

Probably a suitable engine for the weight of that thing. Those volvos are great, reliable, sturdy cars that still run great today, but were wayyyy too heavy for those little 4 banger motors...
