The reason TF was used was because it was the equivilant of a thunderclap every 5 seconds, which allowed for more usage of devastate per minute, which was more threat.

@mokaka96 uhm no not realy. More likely, because thunderfurys debuff worked on bosses and slowed there attack speed by 20%.

Back in TBC tanks used to equip Thunderfury cause it used to do the highest TPS "Threat Per Second"and gathering threat for tanks wasnt that easy back then :P
