This video demonstrates my engraved Uberti Cattleman, 5 1/2 inch barrel chambered in .45 Colt, with self installed ivory grips made from recycled piano keys by Buffalo Brothers. The video begins with clearing the pistol, and then follows with loading five rounds and lowering the hammer on the empty sixth chamber for safe carry. Note that the empty chamber is pointed out before the pistol is fully cocked and the hammer lowered.

This is a superb pistol. It shoots very well, is quite beautiful, and the ivory grips were a really fun project.

This is my second version of this subject. For the critics: the camera is mounted on a tripod to my right. At no time was the weapon handled with a round aligned with the hammer, nor did the pistol's barrel come within 45 degrees of pointing at myself. The first rule of gun safety, always treat the weapon as if it were loaded, was specifically observed.
