  • With this new ballast system, you can change wakesurfing sides in 60 seconds!! Nice!

  • I hope the other manufactures never figure it out.

This will mean more boat sales for us!

    John

  • More ballast = bigger wake = bigger jump or surf-able wave for wakesurfing!

I like to pull my MB Tomcat out of the water with all the ballast still in it. Then I drain it before driving (of coarse) Everybody on the launch ramp says, "wow did you almost sink it!?" or, "Did you forget to put in the drain plug?"

  • All 312 gallons of water ballast is stored under the deck. Zero storage area is lost! Also, MB uses water tanks, not bags. (another bonus)

  • Yes, the 2500lbs of ballast FILLS in 60 seconds as well. This means you can change your wakesurfing side in 60 seconds! Nice!

  • Definitely not a good idea to pull the boat out with the ballast tanks full. Hard on the boat and trailer.

  • @cranfaster that would create a lot more wear as it slides up the trailer bunks, put more pressure on the trailer and possibly stress the hull with all the extra weight on the pressure points.. not really worth it??

  • thats sick, but isnt that over the waterline? how does it drain on the lake?

  • @hummerh2inmud ... you are right. I recently bought a Team Edition 03 B52 with the triple ballast. Apparently someone who owned the boat before me had towed it with the ballast tanks full on the trailer. The trailer had bent axles - but I only caught it after I got it home from the dealer. The boat weighs about 800 less than the trailer is rated for. Don't empy the ballast on dry land - do it in the water!

  • Not good for the hull with that weight on the trailer,it is only to be filled in the water where then the weight is dispersed across the hull,do not be surprised if you get stress cracks it the gel coat or worse

  • just filled a 13' by 25' pool

  • @cranfaster i can change wake surfing sides in like 10 seconds with my calabria pro v

  • Well see are Malibu has 3 tanks to one in the front and on the two sides but the more water the slower u go

  • Wow! Thats fast.

  • 2400 lbs?! thats pretty sick
