Persistant Contrails with 6% Humidity in Phoenix, March 5, 2011

We were hoping for a gorgeous Satuday to celebrate my niece's birthday. The temperature was great, around 75F, but the day started with heavy chemtrail activity, planes everywhere! With only 6% humidity, is it possible for real clouds to form? When no storm system is coming in? We had a high pressure system, and it should have been perfectly blue sunny cloud free sky in Phoenix. The chemtrailing continued all day. I remember the guy on Channel 5 "telling it like it is" and he said the contrails could be persistant when it is humid out or before a storm heads in..well, neither situation occured on this day, and the persitant contrail chemtrails hung in all day. They were not coming from a normal air traffic route either. It seems the only purpose of these planes is to paint the sky with chemicals. To block the sun? Is ground humidity and air humidity the same or does humidity vary at different altitudes? Pls sb tell me if you are 100% sure. Thx
