Axis 4 project: Ecotourism in a protected area, FLAG Sotavento, Portugal

João Sabino's project was one of the case studies selected for the 6th FARNET seminar FLAGs: Drivers of Green Growth in European Fisheries Areas - which took place in Olhão, Portugal.

The FLAG Sotavento supported this project by enabling João to buy his ecotour boat and complying with the natural park administrative requirements to start his business. This enables João to complement his activity as shellfish producer, and by showing this environment to the tourists that look for a different way to discover the area, he values his professional knowledge and passion for the Ria Formosa.
