@KrazeKAM And that's why you can't spell HALF
-
I go to the Aurora, Colorado extended Columbia College and it is about halve of the Chicago tuition
-
This is cheap compared to other private colleges
-
This is still like half the cost of your typical private arts school.

@AKingJohnR get an apartment (with roomates if possible) in a cheaper area of the city (i.e. Logan Square). This wouldn't be much of a problem since the school provides a U-Pass for only 90 dollars, which gives you unlimited amounts of rides on any CTA public transportation. And then Jackson blue line station is only a few blocks from campus. Commuting isn't that fun. But it is an option. And I still party my fuckin balls off...so don't fret, all will be good. Plus get ur hw done on the train!

Let me clarify what might make school expensive here. It isn't the school. It is campus living. If you live in Illinois and have the ability to commute, do it. Its $164 a month for me to ride the Metra an unlimited amount of times. This saves me about 12,500 dollars. If you don't have the option of commuting, and your from another state and the government isn't paying for a large chunk of your housing, then instead of getting a private loan for on-campus housing, take out a smaller loan and.....
oh my god people its a PRIVATE art college! Columbia is half the price of any other private art college, check out Parsons or pratts tuition.

That's weird, I heard they were one of the cheapest private art schools around, which actually seems to follow along with what I've seen so far.
