I never said that schrink was in the entertainment business, I said A&E was making entertainment out of Gacy('s case). Look, he was on trial in the 80's, executed in the 90's. 20 years later we, including Hare, have learned a lot more about psychopathy. It's not that black and white anymore. He was psychopathic, but not in the least typical as they knew it in the 80's/90's.

As for the psychiatrist, she's not in the entertainment business and she was the one working on that case. If she was, then she obviously must have been qualified, unlike armchair professionals such as yourself who are smartest of us all.

I know you didn't make it up, but your argument is based on what 1 schrink said on 1 A&E that walks a thin line between entertainment and psychology. Trying to make Gacy look special. He was just another psychopathic serial killer. That's all I'm saying.

When I see Gacy disputing proven facts with bullshit theories he cooked up, I think it's only rational to doubt everything he said and claimed, just as I'd doubt any pathological lier.

Let's leave me out of the discussion if you don't mind, because red herrings don't make your argument any more credible.

As for Gacy, forensic psychiatrists were puzzled by his behavior precisely because he didn't fit classic definitions. I didn't make this up, it's all in the documentary.

Of course anyone can say anything and don't mean it, but that's a pretty weak and generic argument which can be used by anyone to dispute anything, including you.
