DIY - Paper Mache Cat in the Hat - Part 1

Inspired by a bronze sculpture on display at the Dr. Suess art gallery in South Lake Tahoe. The original bronze sculpture was not done by Dr. Suess, but by an unknown (by me) sculpture artist. Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the artist but will post it when I find out. The bronze sculpture was a little out of my price range (40k cough cough), so I opted for some good ol' recycled newspaper paper and masking tape instead.

The above mentioned "Dr Suess art gallery" is actually called the Marcus Ashley Galleries. They are an authorized dealer for Dr. Suess art and hold one of the largest Dr. Suess Art collections in the world, amongst many other artists work. If you are a collector and you haven't been to S. Lake Tahoe, I suggest you go.
