  • Vincent Herring....an alto master...this is beautiful

  • Wow!!! It's been a long time since I've been that moved by a contemporary alto player. Great sound! Great expression! Great imagination! Great lyrical sense! And the band sounds terrific behind him!!! I want to play with the big people, like these guys!!!!! completely first class!!!!!!

  • omg I cried watching this

  • vc manda muito bem q frase é essa cara eita q lindo som

  • @masongensman Why would you? Better learn to play drums and lose that extra energy on the ride cymbal.

  • Vince herring is my favorite alto player right now. For my money, he has the has the best combination of tone, technique and ideas of anyone out there.

  • I wish I could see who the 2 people who disliked this video were, so i could punch them in the face.

  • no body screw up the 69 likes!!!

  • You have to listen too master players,(Current players buy C.D."s)also need senstive piano players and bass who can hear, giving the soloist a taking off point Most piano players try too play almost as much as the soloist,I tend not too listen to modern players because they lack good section mates which in my opinion makes the bands sound like good players not great.I guess that's why I'm on Youtube to hear something good.

  • @dasglasperlenspiel10

I agree one hundred percent... Contemporary jazz musicians often can't improvise like VH. the man is superb. Though I'm not gona rule them all out there many that can step up to that plate. One of them that I absolutely love is Gerald Albright. Awesome cat, to say the least...

  • Damn, makes me wanna fall in love!!
