Has anyone got the famous moment where Janice Long, introducing David Cassidy on TOTP, said 'I used to have him on my bedroom wall', to which Peel responded; 'I had no idea you were so agile Janice'!

Ilxor mentions a show where he ran down the top ten, describing them all as "the multi-talented", until he got to Nik Kershaw, when he went "er". And wasn't there one where he lamented that Billy Joel had two songs in the charts at once?

For a guy that said he wasn't a "TV person," he was about fifty times more charismatic than than most of the presenters you see.
