Series of jumps from 7' 5 3/4" (the sign reads 7' 6") to 7' 8 3/4" (sign reads 7' 9"). Large clearance at every height...could have gone quite higher!

  • whats his vertical

  • @pa21thebeast ....Sorry I don't know his vertical, but very good question. Any ideas on how to get that? My guess is that it definitely over 40", but how much better I don't know.

  • Makes my 6'8" seem pale in comparison. He wasn't even a twinkle in his daddy's eye yet when I did that. Nice set of jumps!

    Go Huskers!

  • @BaldViking Small world. I, too, jumped 6'8" (and slightly better) when Dusty was not even a twinkle in his daddy's eye (probably much earlier than that). I jumped it about 40 years ago and that seem like a life-time away. I was glad to witness Dusty's jump...they were the highest jumps I've seen live.

  • @pa21thebeast i dont know either but i can tell you these guys don't always have huge verticals. I know Tora Harris who is an olympic jumper for the US has a vertical of 34. So these guys aren't jumping sky high but my guess it about 38.

  • white men CAN jump

  • You dont necessarily need to have an extremely high vertical jump to be good at high jump. Of course that doesnt mean that you can have a poor one, but like some amount of vert will be fine. High jump is a combination of speed, timing, and form (body manipulation) to get over the bar, its not exactly ALL vertical, but its incorporated. Some of the worlds best high jumpers really dont have as high as a vertical as you would expect, yet they high jump in the mid to high 7 feets

  • i love his run up

  • Not anymore :)
