Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation, makers of the finest power tools available, introduces the industry's first M12 Copper Tubing Cutter, specifically designed for cutting copper with the speed and versatility that plumbers, mechanical contractors and remodelers require. With a 12V LITHIUM-ION battery and ultra efficient gearing, the 2471-22 performs up to 200 cuts on a single charge. A close quarter rotating head cuts installed copper tubing with as little as 1-1/2" of clearance. At 500 RPM, the patent pending cutting mechanism cuts copper tubing up to 10X faster than conventional cutters and automatically adjusts diameter to cut through 3/8" - 1" copper tubing (1/2" - 1 1/8" OD, Type K, L, and M). The inline design offers greater reach and reduced wrist strain in confined spaces. The metal cutting head is corrosion and rust resistant and is sealed for protection from water. Electronic overload protection and uni-body construction provide exceptional durability. Additional features include a battery fuel gauge, which displays the remaining run-time, and a built-in LED Light which illuminates the line of cut. www.milwaukeetool.com

  • The Copper Tubing Cutter is exclusively for cutting copper and will not cut EMT. One of our product team members would like to contact you, can you provide us your with your contact info?

  • Does it leave a bur? If it does then who cares, i'll keep using my portaban to cut copper.

  • @CATEGORY5D

The M12(TM) Copper Tubing Cutter performs a nice clean cut and does not leave a bur.

  • my hubby bought one, returned it after a few hours, bought another one, same issue...does not grip the pipe, just spins it around...would be a great idea if it worked!

  • @455elisa

We need to get this fixed for you and discuss what is happening.

Can you give me you contact information (email, phone and name) so we can get this right for you?

  • I use a rothenberg cutter, just as fast and costs hundreds less

  • @Films4You Maybe if you use a Pneumatic Jackhammer on a regular basis causing Chronic exposure to vibration.... but this little tool is just used to effect installation of pipework as part of a contractors duties, so he wouldn't use same for hours at at a time....

  • pretty kool. my nephews a plumber. would like to get em one if the price is fair

  • Health and Safey will say vibration cause "White Finger", look thsi up if you need to

  • Would be worried when cutting through existing pipework where there may be water left in pipe that it would blow the motor, the only place i would use it would be hard to reach areas where the likleyhood is there would be still water left in pipes. like the idea though,

  • These things work great have 3 of them.

  • What is the price?

  • I had bad experiences with this tool. It spiraled along the pipe. Burred heavily and took a long time on some cuts. There is the occasional, hard to reach, cut when doing service work but why own a $120 tool and use it once a month?

  • @CATEGORY5D Yeah, you can see the slight "fence" inside the inner circumference of the cut, just like any copper tubing cutter that I've ever seen. I have a nifty reamer from Yellow Jacket that cleans this up nicer than nice. Used it for four years straight, never even had to use one of the replacement blades included in the blue handle with black cap.

For plumbing, this would not really be much of an issue. But for HVAC refrigerant, I like'er smooth.
