20.Strangers Love.?

I quickly made my way behind Selena, as she walked into the reception room. She jumped a little, before laughing and grabbing my hands. "So, how did you like the wedding?"


I shrugged. "It was so boring."

She laughed. "Shh, Miley's my sister, but I do have to agree. It was pretty boring."

"So, when does the lovely couple get here?"

She shrugged. "I'm not sure, But I'm really hungry so they better hurry up"

"Let's go sit down." I took her hand in mine, leading her to our table.

We had to wait about an hour before everything settled and Miley and Taylor started getting into tradtions. We made it to the cake cutting, when things started getting intresting. They gently cut the cake and ate a piece of it.

Selena gasped. "Aww, your not gonna shove it in peoples faces."

"umm, no. This dress is to much." Miley snapped as she looked at Taylor sending him a daring look.

Selena laughed. "Fine, if you guys don't do it, then I will."

"Selena, I swear if you get that on my dress." I heard Miley say, before my vision went blurry.

Selena's laugh echoed behind me, as I wiped the icing off my eyes, searching for another piece of cake. Once i found one, I held it by it's edge and turned to Selena. When she got close enough, I sent the piece of cake flying into her chin and some what down her chest. She gasped and reached into her chest pulling a chuck of cake out. Two seconds later, it was being shoved in my mouth.

"Your a loser." She told me, as she drove a napkin over her chest.

I laughed, grabbing her arm and pulling her into a hug. "and your a meanie, who shoves cake in my face, when I've been nice to you."

"well, I'm sorry about that Mr. Jonas, so very sorry, and to make it up to, I'm taking you dancing." She said, as she grabbed my arm.

I pulled my arm away. "I'm not a dancer."

"and I'm not a Jonas, but I didn't make them change the name on the card." She smiled at me, as I grabbed her hand and sighed. "let's go."

We made our way onto the floor, her arms wrapped around my neck and I wrapped mine around her waist. She soon got comfortable and made her way closer, leaning her body against me as danced to the music. I smiled, knowing she felt beter this way.


It was about 2:00 in the morning when we got home, Selena and I had a few drinks but we were both in a good stage. I set her on the couch, and went into the kitchen to get beer and chips. I fiddled for the bottle opener in one of the drawrs, when I heard Selena call for me.

"Nick, how would you feel about me, leaving for like a week." She said from the living room.

I laughed and peeked into the room. "Not gonna happen."

Her face dropped into a frown, and she looked down at her fingers. "Well, why not?"

"because I said so." I snapped at her.

She sat up. "That's not an answer." I glanced at her. "well it's the only answer your getting."

She stood up making her way into the kitchen. "it's not like, I'm trying to run away. I just wanna see my mom and stuff,"

"No." I could tell I was making her upset. "That's not fair!" She told me, her voice raising.

"Well life isn't fair." I snapped at her.

"Obviously."

She marched out of the room, stomping to make her exit noticable. I slammed the bottle opener on the counter and chased after her.

"Listen Selena, I'm trying to make you happy, so you don't want to leave. I'm trying to not lose my temper and hurt you, because sometimes your the only one who can keep me from losing it."

"Then let me have a week. One week." She yelled at me.

"That's something I can't do?"

"and why the hell not. It's one week, Nick.!"

We were both yelling at eachother now. "Because, when you love someone you don't let them go. I love you and I'm afraid if I let you go, you won't come back, because who would, I'm a mess. I barely-"

"wait, did you just say...love?"
